Mapping Stained Glass Windows in Churches Across Guadalajara and Its Metropolitan Area

Developed as part of my research on stained glass in Guadalajara, this digital resource combines an interactive ArcGIS map with a participatory cataloguing initiative using ArcGIS Survey123. The project invites users to contribute photographs of stained glass windows to support their documentation and cataloguing, expanding the possibilities for collaborative research on the city’s religious architectural heritage.

The resource accompanies my peer-reviewed book chapter, “Light as a Project: Stained Glass and Modernity in Guadalajara,” forthcoming in 100 Years of the Sacred Art Commission in Guadalajara. I was invited to contribute to the volume in recognition of my previous research on the stained glass windows of Guadalajara Cathedral.

The interactive map is available below. Information on how to contribute photographs through the collaborative survey is provided in the forthcoming chapter.
